On Thursday, April 10th, 2023, the IRS issued an official determination letter stating that Suffolk Firefighters Hockey Club, Inc. is officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization and classified as a public charity. With this status we are excited to announce that any donations, contributions, or gifts made to the team are deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
SCFFHC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer-run program that aims to provide the opportunity for firefighters and EMS providers, and other first responders to participate in the sport of hockey. Through the sport, we aim to create and strengthen community engagement, promote awareness of our first responder’s challenges, encourage team building, and aid other charitable causes that promote the well-being of Long Island’s firefighters and the communities they serve.
